White progressives are controlled by their white guilt. But rather than repenting of any of their own sins and experiencing forgiveness, rather than living up to their rhetoric by laying aside their own power for the sake minorities, they decide to punish *other* whites. The biggest oppressors of white people in our society are progressive whites. They use their anti-whiteness to virtue signal and to beat up conservative whites (the real enemy). Anti-whiteness is a political trick used by leftwing whites to (ironically) maintain their own status and privilege – the very things they demand *other* whites give up.
Of course, some conservative whites are so controlled by the progressive gaze, they play along. They virtue signal as well, in an effort to attain a social justification they will never actually attain.
